Buying coal by the truck: a checklist
A short list of what to agree before a truck leaves Quetta, so the coal that arrives is the coal you paid for.

Truck size
A 10-wheeler carries about 25 to 30 tonnes; a 22-wheeler about 40 to 50 tonnes. One truck is the usual minimum order.
Weight
Pay for net tonnes on a weighbridge slip, not an estimate. Ask for the slip from loading and weigh again on arrival if you can.
Quality
Agree the grade and size, and ask for the typical heat, ash, sulphur and moisture. Wet coal weighs more and burns worse.
For large orders, ask for independent testing of a sample taken at loading.
Price and tax
Confirm whether the price is ex-Quetta or delivered, and whether it includes sales tax (18% or Rs 700 a tonne, whichever is higher).
Get the confirmed price in writing or on WhatsApp before loading.
Payment
New buyers usually pay in advance or cash on loading. Regular buyers can agree credit terms.
Prices are indicative, per tonne, excluding sales tax, and change week to week. See today's sheet or ask us for a confirmed price.
