The best coal for boilers in Pakistan
When gas is short, many mills and factories fire their boilers on local coal. The right grade keeps the steam up and the ash and fumes down.

Sor Range coal: the cleanest local coal
Sor Range and Degari coal, from near Quetta, has the lowest ash (around 6 to 12%) and sulphur (around 2 to 4%) of the Balochistan coals, with 6,000 to 7,000 kcal/kg. About Rs 38,500 a tonne ex-Quetta.
Less ash means less to clear from the grate; lower sulphur means less corrosion and fewer fumes.
Chamalang coal for steady heat
Chamalang lump gives about 5,800 to 6,800 kcal/kg with lower ash than Duki, at about Rs 39,500 a tonne ex-Quetta. A good choice when heat matters more than sulphur.
Check before you buy
Sulphur limit: ask your boiler maker or environmental consultant what your boiler and permit allow.
Size: grate-fired boilers usually need lump or screened coal, not fines. Tell us your boiler type and we will suggest a size.
Moisture: wet coal costs the same per tonne but gives less steam. Ask for the analysis.
Karachi and Punjab mills
We deliver boiler coal by the truck to Karachi's industrial areas and to Faisalabad, Lahore and the rest of Punjab, usually in 2 to 3 days.
Prices are indicative, per tonne, excluding sales tax, and change week to week. See today's sheet or ask us for a confirmed price.
